Case: APLUS Case Qubic, Black Midi tower
PSU: NorthQ 4001EXT, Silent ATX 400W
    Mobo: Asus M2A-VM HDMI
    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600 65w
    RAM: Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 2048MB
    TV Card: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR1300MCE KIT

Generally using it for multimedia purposes. Wondering is there anything else needed. I already have hard drive, disk drive, optical drive.

Any suggestions or anything else needed or altered?

    Any comments, much appreciated

Change the PSU from NorthQ to Black Diamond model, NorthQ have very poor reliability.

HD doesn't really matter at this point they are all in the same ball park performance wise with the exception of the Raptor get which ever gives you the most storage.

DVD get a Samsung or NEC SATA DVDRW drive, quite in use and SATA so no need to mess with IDE cables.

Agree with the changing of psu.

    Alternative to case+psu:

Antec sonata case that comes with a good quality, quiet Antec 450W PSU.

Good solid case, with nice sound reduction features and good air flow.
Best bang for the buck on a tight budget.

And a few cups of tea. Also handy to download all necessary drivers and Apps beforehand, makes installation a breeze.
