chemists who dont work in labs

    hi, just a quick question to all the chemistry graduates that didint end up workin in labs..
    where have u ended up? what are the options straight out of college?

    Sales certainly - though for chemical instrumentation they prefer a bit of specialist postgrad experience with the same techniques.

    Knew a guy who did Chem & Computing and then became a freelance marketing consultant, then a frelance journalist & now a PR consultant.

    I finished a chemistry degree and the prospect of working in a lab didnt appeal to me. I did the DBS (Higher Diploma in Business Studies) and walked into a technical sales job, never looked back.
