I have come to the conclusion that the place I started working in a few months ago is a right old dump, apart from the health and safety issues I have recently highlighted they are also trying to hire people below minimum wage.Case in point theres this polish girl who has a masters and they offered her 20k but she also had to work 50 hours a week for it and she would only get overtime of time and a third after 50 hours, this equates to 7.69 per hour.Even for the 11 hours over the 39 hour working week, they cannot be allowed to get away with this, who should I report them to?

It is surprising how many companies don't follow the applicable laws. My best advice is to join a good union, who are experts in this kind of stuff. Educate your colleagues so they know if they are being used and protest! Take a look at http://www.citizensinformation.ie
