Is this the still thecurrent line of thinking??

I come to the tables tonight and search my buddy list... this guy is buddy listed and sitting at 2 tables. I get on the waiting lists and take my seats....

I dont remember this player in particular but my notes say exactly as follows " real bad player.constantly bluffs"
I have 450 hands on him and stats say 72/45/7.2/452

So I'm happy enough playing the waiting game... He is as bad as my notes say. people are getting sucked out on and bluffed by him quite a bit and he has showed all his bluffs including a CRAI on the river against me into a 75 euro pot for 300 more. I folded AK on a K high board and he shows 82o with no pair or draw after calling preflop/ on the flop/we checked the turn/ i value bet river for 25 and he pushes...

    So what to do here??

your notes says he bluffs alot, so if you trust your notes then call ;)

Meant to say if I call here I'm breaking one of my own rules.... I decided a while ago that I was never calling an overbet on the river without the nuts......... really wasn't sure what to do....

hmmm, has he over bet before?

I insta call, yeah he will have it sometimes but he can easily have something like a pair of 3's and clearly bluffs at all scare cards, the fact he is overbetted with nothing before is even more reason to call.

Given your notes I think your fold with AK to him is bad unless the board is seriously cordinated - and i mean seriously cordinated.

I think your bet sizing is poor.

he bets 15 into 21 and you make it 45 - this is not enough - make it 65

then bet 120 on the turn (or get it all in if he gives u action) - The river is then an easy call.

He can have Q10 / 810 / as well as KJ AJ type hands/ 2 pair hands. Does he open raise much? what does this mean?

anyway given notes and stats this is a very easy call.

why take notes and use stats if your not going to act on them.

    not again this guy

against a sane villain you can fold pretty easily here

as BCB said, your bet sizing is a little off [small]

given history I think I would make the call, but with eyes closed.

Is he crazy enough to call all that with a gutshot? This looks like one of those times that everyone hates where the bluffing maniac makes a hand that he should have got out of already. I think you have to call and re-load if he's got it and take back all the money. How does he normally play flush draws that he flops? A lot of these maniac types just seem to go all in with them.

    horrible spot. I fold.

He open raises with anything. I've called him down a few times with any pair and was good for smallish pots..

Hard to get a pattern on this guys play. He's at two of my tables and is deep stacked on both as people try to bluff him regularly. He has made some mad calls and was ahead.. I havn't seen him open push too many times. previous time it was a CRAI and I folded but I wasn't at the table as long that time....

    Anyway,

I clenched but cheeks.... crossed everthing i had!..... closed one eye and clicked all in...

He had Ad7d for the flush.......

I still think against the said player that the call was the right one..... against any normal player it's a fold really...

thanks very much for your input

    Mac

Based on your notes and his previous play you probably have to call here. This is how the maniacs get paid off. Bad luck.
