NTL - possible new digital channel?? 187

Just noticed the channel count is now at 187 from 186. Can't seem to find that extra channel. Does anyone know what or where it is?

Just checked and its at 187 (Dublin city centre) as well, cant find the extra channel

I also noticed that the software version has changed from
11.193-22 to 11.197-22

There was an update on my pace box around 2:30pm. But now, the clock is an hour off.

Just noticed the channel count has gone up to 189
I dont have time to do a full check now to see
what they have added.

I noticed that it went from 187 to 189 last night... it happened between 12-1... the box flixed off and on again, and the number had increased... i can't remember what was there before, but if anyone can find out / knows what was added i'd be very grateful..

Hope it's worth it as the upgrade hosed my STB.

It constantly just cycled through the upgrade stages so I now have 0 digital channels ;-)

Software version has inceased though. btw is there a previous post that explains what all the lines under Technical Information mean?

All the ntl services are down in many areas, this could be the cause of your zero channels, are your 15 basic analogue channels stil on?

Analogue TV, broadband and ntl phone work

This broke sometime Friday daytime.

STB just has a upgrade screen saying 'your digital service is being upgraded etc' and screen reports it cycling through stage 1-4 over and over.

Already rang NTL about it but they have to send an engineer.

Yes tried that - left it unplugged for an hour but no joy.

btw is there a link to explain the technical information output?

Home now and can't find those new channels. Perhaps they're testing something for release soon?

Folks those numbers don't only indicate the number of channels available. AFAIK the full digital package only has 171 channels. Things such as the EPG streams,teletext etc will add to those numbers. As we've all seen before if a new channel is on it's way,you'll most likely see an addition to the epg before the channel is available to view.
The change in the figures is more then likely down to a technical issue to do with NTL rather then additional channels.
