Garmin quest map update

    Please help I've no idea how to update the maps on my garmin quest,
    I've been on the garmin website and found a european cd for $299 or something ?
    surely I can just update without buying the whole of europe ??:confused:

    What version are your current maps? Map updates are only 75$ http://www8.garmin.com/unlock/update.jsp

    It's the original quest with city select europe v6 maps
    I can't find the update for those maps

    That looks closest to what I need I was just nervous as it didn't specify Quest,I'll register it now and call them if there's no joy there,

    The upgrade you need is to City Navigator v9.
    Upgrade cost is $75.

    Garmin stopped producing the City Select product and switched to the City Navigator, so the upgrade path is to city Navigator, for which the current release is 9.0. Also, you're looking for the non-NT release.

    You'll notice a huge difference from V6! One of the issues you'll face is that the maps are so much more detailed, you wont be able to fit as large an area on the Quest. Also the map tile are much smaller, which is handy.. You can pick the area to upload that you need.

    Thanks Krusty, I've been mailing them but got no answer .
    I can't find the yellow slip with the unlock code and so could not order
    that update I'll have to try phoning them I feel like putting it in the buy and sell and buying a tom tom :rolleyes:
