Sky HD Box

Ordered Sky HD (taking a bloody month!) and apparantely the reciever is a Pace. Anyone have model no. for this, or a link to specs and images?

Also, is it silver or black? Don't suppose their is a choice, is there? I'd prefer black as the rest of my AV stuff is/will be black.

I didnt know Pace were making the HD boxes. I thought it was only Thomson.

The Sky boxes are all the same design. The Sky HD boxes are all black.

Thanks Winters. Was on the phone to the retailer (spoke to the actual installer guy) this morning asking why my install was taking so long to schedule. He said that it was a Pace box and that Sky were doing some upgrade to them before sending them out. I did get the impression he was winging it though.

Anyone any links to the Pace and/or Thompson box specs and/or pics of the back?

he is winging it, sky don't upgrade boxes in a hardware sense. The only other possibility is an over the air firmware upgrade but the box would have to connected to a dish before they can do this.

Why is it taking you a month? I ordered mine on last thursday and their installing this coming monday.

I've yet to see a Pace SkyHD box. Their website only shows a SkyHD box for Sky Italia. So, I'd be inclined to think that there is no Pace SkyHD for UK/IRL launched yet.

Anyone got an email address for Sky? The web form has a character limit. I want to ask them about this and about the box make.
