anyone know what airlines charge roughly for going over the luggage allowance?
i am going on holidays and i reckon i will be over the 20Kgs coming back, was just wondering what roughly do different airlines charge?

I think its around €8 per kilo? Well thats what it was with Ryanair when I travelled with them around christmas

Be careful, depending on the airline anything over 30-32kgs in one bag
will not be carried due to 'health and safety' reasons... regardless of
how much you pay.

Also some US airlines will allow you two bags of 20kgs each, but will
charge you if you have only one bag of 20kg+.

Low cost and charter airlines are the most anal on charging.

Check your tickets or the airline website as it's the only way
to find out for sure.

the ticket says nothing about excess. i contacted the company and they said this

"With regards to your query, additional weight above from the allowance, shall be charged with a normal excess baggage rate."

i know ryanair is €8 per Kg, i wonder if its that

Also - not all airlines are 20Kg. Ryanair allowance is only 15. Did you check the airlines website?
