Apart from dropping to your knees and praying your opponent has JJ how do you play this against an unknown who has you covered? Bet from the start get a pot going? Or keep checking and hope he hits a set or better along the way? Check right to the river?

Ck Ck, although pray he does'nt have pkt JaJa, as this beats four Aces everytime.

It would depend on your image your opponents tendancies and the flow of the game, I'm usually pretty aggressive with a pretty LAGGY image and so would probably just go ahead and bet the flop. See if the guy wants to try and make a move at the pot or if he has a hand he likes.

I could very easily check though, it really is an "it depends" type of scenario, usually you won't make much out of this hand.

I think if you check your opponent will assume you have at least trips, it's so obvious. I think you should probably just bet as normal. You're probably just not going to make anything from this hand but someone with a pair may give you one call for a smallish bet and if you're very lucky maybe they'll hit their 2-outer and you can bust them. Most times they'll just fold. But the fact that you didn't check might induce someone with a pair, or a hand like KJ or QJ, to call or maybe even raise you.

Ya agree with Nemo, realistically you won't be winning much here.

I would bet half pot, make it look like a CB, hope he either raises or floats. If he raises or calls, I'm checking the turn to induce a bet. After this, unless he's a complete donkey or has JJ, you are not getting another penny from him.

What suit is a? If its spades or diamonds someone could have a royal flush draw and you don't want to give free cards on that flop.
Seriously though I'd nearly always bet out at least 2/3 of the pot here if i'd been playing remotely aggressively

    make your standard c-bet.

    .
This is the only way you have any chance of getting any decent money out of him. If you check he may bet but when you call that will really slow him down on that board. Its just horrible hitting such a great hand on the flop.:D :D

I flopped quad 3s yesterday and took a players stack but he was a fool at a 0.5/1 beginner table. The only problem was he was short stacked (35BB) and killed my action as I had someone else that was interested in the pot with 150BB.

I think check, the only way you are likely to get any money out of him is if he turns a decent hand.

How tight has the villain been pre-flop and how loose post flop? Do whatever you think you would do if you had TT or something similar.
