Well it's not the location I would have picked .....

    but it's ok ..... :)

I'll live with it, if that's the only way they will come to Limerick .... :p

i'm sick of hearing the rumours...

can we make a list of places where people were dead sure M&S is moving in?

    - Dunnes in Henry Street
    - Coonagh Cross
    - Opera SC
    - now Crescent SC

I know there has been talk for years of it coming to Limerick!
Hope they do though, because the crescent isn't too far from me! :D

^^ and don't forget that new place beside the parkway retail park

according to that article they have some ''reliable'' sources

so what are we talking about here, the only spot big enough in the cresent is that tesco store that sells clothes or is that pennys
hmm generally never down that side of the cresent

-And the Royal George before they renovated it!

Where exactly in the crescent are they considering? There are a few vacant units down where JR fashions etc used to be. Not the best of spots.....nobody goes down there really

Just wondering how true the M&S/ Cresent SC story is??

I always thought Tescos would have it wrapped up legally that they could be the only anchor shop at the Cresent SC. M&S would be serious competition on there door step.

I know some Dublin SCs have more than one anchor store, but this arrangement is not very common outside Dublin.

If M&S appears in Limerick. I hope it is a large store. I was in the Letterkenny M&S recently, which is about the size of JR Fashions mentioned earlier. That area included a clothes section and a food section. It was very disappointing.

ya but letterkenny has ALOT less people than limerick, wouldnt of been economical to have such a large store
then again if they were going by population they would of been in limerick a long time before letterkenny

They are talking of building on the green field site by the exit of the SC. It would be independant of the normal building!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,176 ✭✭✭1huge1

^^ there really aint much greenland left there at all
wouldnt be a huge store if that was the case unless multistorey
more traffic that way but hey its M&S it would be worth it for once

How can people care that much?

Because M&S brand food is F*cking glorious! There it is. Also, variety is the spice of life in terms of shopping selection.

For me, all about the food!
