Moving into a new house in the next 6-8 months or so and therefore will soon be on the lookout for plasma tvs, new bed, furniture, sound systems, internet providers, pointless "man gadgets!" etc...

I'm have decided to look into buying as much as possible online if it'll save a few quid and provided I'm satisfied that the sites I look at are trustworthy etc...

If it was you, where would you go for all the above items?

Cheers people, hope you can help and all advice much appreciated!

Now there's a challenge! Let the collective wisdom of those on the Bargain Board guide you on your money saving mission!! :D

I'd say call Smart straight away on 1800 718 555 to find out if you can connect. They're about the best value broadband provider: http://www.smarttelecom.ie/broadbandfeatures.php You may need to connect to Eircom first and then switch to Smart (painful I know.) Connecting to Eircom is free, if you do it online: http://www.eircom.ie/cgi-bin/bvsm/bveircom/mainPage.jsp and http://www.eircom.ie/bveircom/pdf/pstn_offer_terms.pdf

The minute you're actually connected phone Eircom on 1901 and ask for your Account Number, (they'll tell you if you ask nicely :) ) Then phone Smart straight away and give it to them so as to speed up your connection. The whole thing should take less than 14 days. Smart will probably give you a new phone number, but since you're moving into a new house, you could delay giving out any number until you've got the Smart one. I'd recommend VoIP and/or registering with www.13434.ie as the cheapest way to make your phone calls. Good luck.

P.S. If you PM me your details, I'll refer you and if you successfully connect I'll get €25. Why not share the money saving?? :D
