NTL/UPC PVR or Sky+ - Should I wait?

    Hi

My NTL 12-month contract has just ended, and I'm thinking about changing to Sky, mainly for the Sky+ box. I've heard about UPC's plans to release a PVR on the market, so it might be better or easier to stay, but I'd like to get it asap. I also have NTL BB, which is an excellent service, so I don't want to p**s NTL off.

Has anyone got any more details on the PVR product, when it will be available, any early adopter programs or ways to get to the top of the queue, price, features (will it compare favourably to Sky+), etc., etc.??

    Any info would be great.

    Thanks

Hasn't that UPC PVR been delayed a couple of months?

NTL have been saying for YEARS now that they are going to start offering interactive/PVR/HD/etc/etc/etc/etc.. "later this year".

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. My advice as an NTL customer of years is that if you want HD now, if you want interactive now, if you want PVR from your provider now, go with Sky.

NTL told me late last year that they would "have HD by the summer"

    HA!!

NTL can't even run a proper EPG for their regular box a PVR would never record at the proper time with that kind of messing.

I agree NTL broadband is very good but their television service is crap go with SKY.
