Hey, I'm not sure if these threads are allowed here but I'm thinking of selling my laptop and I've no idea what it is worth.

I won't actually post what laptop it is because I want to get the all clear from the Mods because I know these type of threads are frowned about on other forums on boards.

    Cheers.

I take it you haven't read it either ;)

I read it before making the post and it doesn't specifically say that's it's not allowed, but me asking how much it's worth could then in turn be looked upon as advertising.

Just wanted to make certain as I wouldn't like to be banned.

    Go for it.

If these type of threads get out of hand, I'll create a sticky as per the comp/tech forum.

sorry forgot to update the thread with the specs of the laptop. it is a

atm i've only got a basic spec, i'll get pictures and detailed spec later on today.

    Acer Ferrari 4005 WLMi

    2.0ghz AMD turion64
    1gig of ram (think it's DDR400)
    100gig 5400RPM hard drive
    128mb x700 Ati graphics card
    slot loading DVD burner
    acer bluetooth mouse.
    has wi-fi card
    bluetooth
card reader (think it's only 5 in 1)
    infrared
    4 USB2 ports
    ethernet port
    56k modem
    vga port
    dvi port
    acer docking port.

here is a review that has more detailed info on the specs and images of the laptop. the review also has benchmarks for graphics card/cpu and hard drive.

on my laptop there is a small cluster of pixels that are a kind of light brown colour, don't know if they are just stuck or they are dead, i'd presume it's the former. they are in the middle of the screen but are only noticeable when there's a solid colour as the background.

at the moment i've a beta of vista on it, but the hidden partition has windows xp 64bit professional.

i was thinking around 900 to 1000 euros but just wondering am i in the right ball park here or do i can i go higher?
