Masturbation while circumcised

Hey there, I'm trying to create a topic that is not too explicit that it ends up in S&S

Here's the story, due to having a tight foreskin I'm getting circumcised in two weeks. This unfortunately worries my gf. She doesn't know if this will affect her ability to "pull me off"

To anyone out there who has been circumcised. Is it still possible for masterbation; either by yourself or by a gf.

Again, let's try not to make this too explicit.

    Lube is your friend.

You'll be fine. Not the day after the op, but soon enough.

Think of it this way ... most American guys are circumcised at birth. Do you really think they all go through their teenage years with their hands outside the bed clothes? :D

I know facing it when you're older is a bit different, but from what I know from others (I'm not myself) once it has healed the result is much the same as if it had been done when you were a baby.

You may find bits of this thread interesting.

i've been circumcized and masturbation is no problem...

i think that if you get it done as an adult they recommend no sexual activity until it has healed properly, so you may not have any fun for a week or two.

best of luck mate and welcome to the cleaner side of manlyness!!

Why are you having the foreskin removed? If it's too tight you could spend a few months trying non-surgical alternatives imo.

If it was me, I'd try everything else before I'd go under the knife :)

Id have to agree with Dr Teeth on this one. Make sure you have all the information. If you really need to get it done and all avenues have been explored then ok. You will lose erogenous tissue and may lose sensitivity in the area. Best to have all the facts.

Some doctors are far too quick to jump for the knife. I know that only too well. A friend of mine was about to get the snip 5 years ago. He thought long about it and got a second opinion and in the end didn't have to get it done. He's fully working in the dept now. His personal research really opened my eyes with regard to the practice, the fallacies about it(cleanliness, looks better all that bs) and how often it's done when there are less intrusive procedures available. Any operation is not to be taken lightly, especially one that removes erogenous tissue. Get a second opinion and you may not have to worry about masturbation.

All of the girls i've been with said that they preferred it. As for the masturbation, there is absolutely no worries whether you are alone or with someone. Its just as normal as before. But as said previously, make sure you are completely healed before becoming active again.

    Best of luck

Depends on the woman, as I've heard the opposite especially during sex.
Its just as normal as before.
Normal if you've never had a foreskin or a non functioning one. If you have a functioning foreskin it would be very different. The foreskin is lubricated and the very action of masturbation is different. It has evolved that way. Every mammal has a foreskin. If it didn't serve a useful purpose it wouldn't still be with us The fact that circumcised men may need lube is a good indicator.

Look either way you will adapt regardless. I'm just suggesting that getting second or third opinions and getting all the facts as it involves you is the most important thing. Either way you'll be fine.

'As a woman I have to say I prefer guys that are circumsized, my first two partners were circumsized and my last two haven't been. Circumsized guys seem to be a little less sensitive so they can last longer!! So from your gf perspective she will prob prefer it! Other than that there is no difference from my experience!'

And I bet they all said you were great in bed too :p

This whole cleanliness things is rubbish too - Complete nonsense for those of us in the Western World who wash every day ;)

I'm with everyone else here who recommends investigating the alternatives carefully. I would hate to lose to very real benefits of having a foreskin, especially during sex.

You mean... they were lying? I may need to open a thread here myself...

Agreed. We could go to and fro with the pros and cons, but the important thing is to make sure that this procedure is the right one for you and what procedure will give the most benefit. Get all the facts and take it from there. There's hardly a massive rush so take your time either way.

Hi Mate, had the op done about 7 weeks ago and all is back to normal. No difference while masterbating but the only thing I find is I have to be a little bit rougher (the foreskin has a natural lubricant that usually makes this easier!).

Good advice on this thread already regarding exploring alternatives. I had severe phimosis. If I had a choice I would not have had it done but I tried steroid creams and stretching but had no luck whatsoever. Saying that I dont regret it at all and feel great now the healing process is over!

I am married and my wife finds that the head without foreskin can be a bit rougher and that more lubrication is needed than before.

There is plenty of info on the net out there and I found this thread very helpful in making my decision.

Juts give it some time to heal and take the first time or two easy.
On the subject of lube: use it anyways, it enhances the experience and certainly helps if you are not intending to rush to the finish line

I tried all those techniques and almost managed to loosen it to the point that it was retractable, but it inevitably tightens up again... So I went for the op and am totally happy with the result.

OP, as Victor said lube is your friend, but depending on how tight your circ is, you may have enough 'mobile' skin left on the shaft to use the usual technique. Don't be afraid to quiz your Urologist and demand a conservative circ, ie get it cut it high and loose, leaving a bit more skin to play with.

You'll be fine. No need for lube, but it is more pleasurable with it.

I was circimsized years & years back in primary school. Easily the most painful thing in my life, especially when trying to pee during the pursuing days and weeks. Had to wear a cast on me willy which seems funny now but definitely fùckin wasn't back then. Get a 2nd opinion just to be sure.

Anywho it's not all doom & gloom, Mr.Willis will be a lot cleaner and you won't have any problems, ever.

Just don't tell your buddies, primarily on the fact that you'll be subjected to terrible "Jew" jokes, believe me I know!

'I prefer circumcized men, they have more sensitivity

one uncircumcized guy insisted on going without a condom, (he had quickly whipped it off during sex) I suspect he needed all the stimulation he could get. it was like he was sawing a board. IMO the more sensitivity the better'

Yep of course they do. It's obvious why too. The foreskin protects the glans and keeps it moist and sensitive. Remove it and the head becomes less sensitive through keratinisation. Basically the skin dries out, becomes thicker and less sensitive. Any man with a functioning foreskin knows the discomfort if it slips back and the head touches clothing. Put it another way some here have said some women may prefer it as they last longer. Why? Because a circumcised penis is less sensitive. Another aspect is that the foreskin itself contains a lot of erogenous tissue. Frankly skjhksetswg seems to know diddly about the physiology of the penis and how that effects the use of same.

So in summary a circumcised penis is better for a functioning adult sexual relationship as the slight loss in sensitivity gives rise to greater staying power.

Why isn't everyone getting this done?

Nope not quite. For a start it doesn't automatically give greater staying power. That's a perception by some. The same as the whole it's cleaner/looks better etc. I remember reading somewhere the opposite can be the case as the loss of some of the nerve triggers present in the foreskin can cause premature ejaculation(fascinating article. I didn't realise how much was going on). It also has issues with intercourse for the woman due to the lack of natural lube(the gliding mechanism present in the natural state). It's rougher basically. Add that to delayed orgasm in some cases and that can be unpleasant for the woman. Going at it for hours is only good in porn for most. It stands to reason that it evolved and is present in humans for a purpose. Removal of the tissue also removes erogenous tissue in the foreskin that I for one am very glad I have. Very very few men with a functioning foreskin would want it removed. Says it all really.

In the end if a man has a functioning foreskin it's a better bet. If he doesn't and other avenues have been explored then obviously circumcision is the best option on the principle that having function is better than none. Doing it willy nilly(so to speak) is hardly a good thing, beyond cultural reasons. That's why my advice to the OP stands. Get a second opinion and see if there are less invasive options available. If not find out as milod suggested the circumcision technique that will be performed. Get as little tissue removed as possible.

Or another way of thinking about it, if you have ever cut your fingernails right back, the tips of your fingers that used to be protected by the nail are very sensitive. Safe breakers are supposed to sandpaper thier fingertips to make them more sensitive too. Without a protective layer skin becomes less sensitive. Your great-grandparents may not have have had shoes during childhood and gone around barefoot. Today standing on a three pin plug is very painfull because our feet are so sensitive.

'sorry folks, I got it wrong in my post, I must have been really tired or something, I had a look at my post and I totally got it backwards.

Circumcised is less sensitive because the glans is less protected, and I prefer uncircumcised because there is less friction - IMO, anyhow'
