Network sharing with wireless laptop

Hi all. Just hoping someone can help me here. Basically I don;t have the cash to buy the wireless adapter for the xbox so I'm using my wireless enabled laptop attached to my 360 with network sharing on. It works perfectly for my mate but I can't get on at all as the network test always fails at the dns setting. Any help…

this is how i'm set up , if you do a search on my posts in this forum ull see how i did it , and if i recall , the problmes i had. sorry i'm not posting how i did it here , much too early in the morning for me.
