question on dpc's

    Hi boardsers ive a quick q. when you overlap a damp proof membrane with the dpc, and then build on top again, are you supposed to cut it off outside flush with the wall?Helping a guy with an extension and i think the rain is coming down the wall and in under the blocks on top of the dpc(cavity blocks). Am I right in saying I should cut it off and plaster with a waterproofer additive over the lot?
