Why can you not rent most if not all tv series out in XtraVision etc...?I am away alot in my Job so I don't get to watch any follow on series such as the Sopranos and Westwing.I have dipped into these for the odd show and they looked great but I hate watching something from the middle.

I am also not a big DVD buyer,I really only watch something the once so it would not be worth my while to pay 100 odd euro just to watch something the once.

Is there anywhere in Dublin that you can rent these type of series out for a night or two...?

Yes! Xtra-Vision have only recently started to make these box-sets available for rent. Something like €6 for 2 nights. Though you'd be doing well to watch all 13 episodes of a Sopranos season over 2 nights :)

Thats great news,I must check it out.Was there any reason this is not available before...?

I did not think there were 13 episodes in a Sopranos season.

yeah, its a relatively recent offering. There's at least 12 or 13 eps in each of the seasons.

They have started renting boxsets over the last 2 months,6 euro for 2 nights or 10euro for a week. all the sopranos, west wing, simpsons, scrubs, family guy, american dad,sex and the city,nip/tuck,arrested development seasons are available to rent, among others...

these are just starter shows to see how they do,and they have rented fairly well so they will be getting a lot more in soon, and a wider variety. Here's hoping they get the Wire in,more people need to see it!

The woman in my local Xtravision told me that the boxsets for rent are proving very popular.

I know people renting then copying so they can watch over a fortnight or whatever. Anytime I go to Xtravision there is always someone renting a boxset.
