Wii net browsing - limitations?

Turned on the wii during the week hoping to watch free Setanta on eircom broadband on my TV and it wouldn't work. Same issue trying to video clips on the RTE website. YouTube is fine. Are these just limitations on Opera and is this the sort of thing that could be patched up on the future?

The wii browser doesn't have the latest version of the flash player thats why it won't work with some video sites.

From Wikipedia: "Wii's browser does not support Flash 8 or Flash 9. Instead, it only supports Flash Player version 7, which was released in 2003. According to Opera, this is because Adobe has not released a Software Development Kit for Flash Player versions 8 or 9".
