    version 2.4 all the way UI changes are nice but the colour mangement means I could finally dump photo$hop

    I think I must be one of the few people who hate that program.

    The way I see it, PSP7 is open, settled and ready to run in under 3 seconds from the time you click the shortcut to the time you can start working with an image, it does everything I want it to do and I've been using it for so long it's like an extension of my brain, so I can get things done very quickly.
    Switching to anything else at this stage is a tall order... the times I tried photoshop, I never saw a compelling reason to keep using it... ditto the Gimp.
    I'm sure the pros have good reasons to use it, but my needs don't yet exceed PSP7.

    As far as I remember (been years) PSPro is easy and possibly just as useful to most people as PS, however, I hear for the real, real detailed stuff and indebt designers, it doesn’t have a 5th of what PS does.

    Of course no one can ever argue that technically speaking , photoshop owns everything but of course there are so many factors involved in why for some people it just isnt appropriate or suitable
