Just got a letter today with my results stating that school will be starting next term earlier at 8.50 am instead of 9.00 am because it is to bring the school day in line with DES regulations regarding school time.

    Anybody get any similiar notification???

I must say goodbye to my proud laziness as I used to get up for school at 8.30 am (when i should be up at 8.00 am so that I can eat my breakfast properly and get dressed, I used to be on time though when I got up at 8.30) as I live only 2 miles from the school which eqautes to a 4 minute drive.

Nah we've always been 8:45am - 4:00pm with a 15 minute morning break and 1 hour in the afternoon.

On mondays and tuesdays we are 0850 to 1540.....ten minute break at 1050. 40 minute lunch at 1300. Then Tues-Friday we finish at 1500.

but our classes NEVER used to start at 0850....not till at least 0900!

Lucky sods! I'd die to get off that early, even if only one day a week!

We've always been 8.55- 3.55 with ending early on frieday (used to be 3.15, but for some reason one frieday the bell didn't go til 3.20 and hasn't since...)

    Yeah, forgot to mention - we're 8:45 - 1:00 on Wednesdays :)

    8:30?? WTF???

I am NOT a morning person, I barely even do 9ams so going to school at 8.30 would be hell for me (in TY I had an 8.30 French class once a week that I only went to three or four times). We have school from 9am to 3.30 and that suits me fine! The lunch is a bit shorter than all of yers, we have a 15 minute break then a 35 minute lunch.

8.50am (was 9am) to 3.45pm everyday excluding Wednesday. We have a break at 11am for 15 minutes. A break at 12.30pm for 30 minutes and a break at 2.20pm for 10 mintues.

On Wednesday school starts at 8.50am (was 9am) and finishes at 1pm. We have a break at 11am for 15 minutes.

    How I love Wednesdays:) .

My friend's school starts at 8.30, mine starts at 8.40 for assembly/paidreacha and classes start at 8.50. I live a ten minute walk from school and am always late..........

In second or third year my school changed its starting time to 8:55 to give us an extra five minutes at break or something. Whatever it is, I never got used to it so I'm still coming in at 9 every day.
We finish at half 3 every day, no half days, bleh... Well, if you do LCA you get a half day on Fridays. But alas.
