I have a digitech pedal with a guitar jack lodged in the input, because the lead turned out to be crappy. Anyway, in order to open the guitar pedal, I need to get specific american made allen keys, no other type will work. Its a brian may digitech artist series. Ive contacted digitech but I had already gone to the hardware store prior to them making that suggestion and they dont sell allen keys. anyone know where to get such allen keys?

Do you have a picture of the screw? It sounds like something Maplins might have

I've never heard of 'American made' allen keys. Allen Keys are Allen Keys the world over afaik, maybe they're Torx? Can you describe the shape of the bolt to be undone, or provide a photo?

Any decent hardware store will have allen key sets. I presume you're looking for an imperial (inches) set when you say you need an American set, they might be harder to find.

imperial ones are easy to find...
bought a set in mcquillans in blanch last week each different set they had were in both metric and imperial , but seen em in woodies and in b+q.

Sounds to me like a Torx screw or some other similar design. A pic would be great.

Best bet is to bring the pedal to a tool supplier and show the screw to the guy in the shop.
