for classic cars... I would have concerns about if they would retain any water that might get into the car.

I've heard of people using B&Q shed roof type bitumen stuff for floor pans etc.
    Cheap and effective....

Hello all, was just chasing links to our site and came across this.

We do stock Dynamat in both our stores, Waterford and Cork.

We have tried most brands of these type materials and Dynamat is easily the best form of resonance control you can buy with the added benefit of reducing road noise.

As for using bitumen based products they will just dry out, get brittle and then crack and peel away from their application.

Funny enough this is a classic forum and one of our biggest markets for Dynamat is classic cars.

You can see some applications on our site ;)www.securesounds.ie

    Cheers.

Classics are traditionally not as well sound insulated as a modern car. If you want to make your classic quieter you need to add insulation, but don't have the room to put a full thickness of a modern cars insulation below the carpets, hence the use of dynamat, very compact, excellent sound deadening properties. Disadvantages ? It's expensive :/
