DELL Inspiron 1420 - release date any idea?

    HI,
    Does anybody know when is DELL releasing its inspiron 1420 model?

    I am looking for a new laptop and hence thought to wait for the latest model

    should be in the next few days the current Dell offers convenietly run out on the 27th of this month so should be released by the 28th anyway.

    Go to the Irish Dell site now and the picture they have above the notebook section is the new 1520 model although when you click in its the old range

    1520's are out now on the site. I bought a 6400 on sunday, priced the closest spec 1520 to it just now and it's over €200 more expensive. Was considering a cancel and re-order, but it's nowhere near worth it for €200. That said the 1520 is nicer looking than the 6400.

    yes, 1520 is out in market. but 1420 is not yet in EU.
    I can see 1420 released in US now.
    I am looking for a 14 inch one, so might have to wait more.
    they look cooler than the old DELL laptops

    Was just coming over to ask the same question.

    I talked to Dell and they haven't got an idea when it's going to be available here.

    1520 looks nice but it's too bulky, and 1330 is too expensive.

    1420 is a sweetspot IMHO.
