Mis-feed issue

    Hi,

I received my first AEG before the weekend, and have been playing around with it a little bit. It is the dboys M4 cqb Metal - BI3881 . I will spend some more time getting to know it better before reviewing it, but could do with some help fixing a mis-feed issue.

It comes with a metal M4 hi-cap windup mag, and I bought 2 more of the same.
It seems to be fine in full auto, but I have problems with semi-auto. I can get a few shots off in a row and then, nothing, maybe 4,5,6 trigger pulls where no bb is fired. I have to wriggle the mag a little bit to get it to feed again, and then I get a few more semi-auto shots.

The other mags appear to have the same issue, but I will verify that comment out a little bit more later tonight. The mags are quite wobbly in the aeg, I would not consider it to be snug. Not going to fall out or anything, but not fixed...

I was not able to search the forum, is there a problem with firefox and searching?? So the answer might be out there, but I could do with some pointers. I am a noob, but willing to learn. I have silicon spray, and cleaned out the barrell, but not sure where else that might need to be sprayed. I have not changed anything else, hop-up etc..

    Thanks and regards,
    Ciaran

If you are using the bb's that came with the AEG, they may be poor quality (the bb's I got with my G3-SG1 were disintegrating when fired). If the bb's are misshapen, then they may have problems moving smoothly though the mechanisms.

Could always bring it to HRTA and try out a Tokyo Marui or Classic Army mag in it. The clone mags might just be bad at feeding.

Yep I did wind them, thanks for that anyway.

I also found out how quick the bb's eject from the mag when you release the loading spring thingy on top for a second... bb's bouncing on my kitchen tiles everywhere!!

The bb's are from a 0.2 x 5000 bag I bought in HRTA, and they should be ok.

    Thanks, any other ideas appreciated.

You try lubing up the mags internals?

Sounds dirty, but do you mean spray some (very little) silicone into the mags?

I will try to get to HRTA this weekend and try out a proper Mag, but any other suggestions appreciated,

    Ciaran

Yep. Fill up a magazine full of bbs and then spray some silicone oil in on top of them. It will give the internals of the gun a bit of a lubing up too.

Thank you for that, I think it (spraying silicone spray into the mags full of bbs)worked. Semi seems to be fine now with all mags.

I will attempt to put up a couple of photos of it with a review, from my limited knowledge and expericenes with other AEG's (2)!!

    Cheers,
    Ciaran

good one o1s1n...i read on rsov some guy (in the comments) was recommending you should spray silicone every 5 or 6 reloads...i never heard that before...but as the man says, i think the clone mags can be ropey...might be an idea to get a good one. they are on ehobby and are not too bad on price..

it may be the hop up on full, some rentys have turned the hop up on new aeg on me and when i give them out again they wont fire on semi-auto, by puting silicone lube on the bbs it wound pass true the hop up
