Apologies if this is the wrong forum, not a regular of the tech section.

Anyways, I have a Beko TV (no idea what model etc.) but I do not have the remote. However, I want to use the PS2 on it. There is no AV button on the actual telly. Tried a universal remote (albeit a very cheap one) and it didnt work. Is there way I can get the AV channel????

On my beko if I turn on a device it then triggers the TV automatically, have you put in the PS powered off and then turned on. Also if there are 2 scarts they are usually not the same, one might do this "auto-trigger" the other might not. Maybe some devices trigger and some dont, so possibly you could kick start it with a dvd player and then take the lead out of the dvd player (not the TV) and into the PS.

as far as i know beko are like the old Mitsubishi TVs the only way to acess the AV is through the remote. But what cable are you using? is the three connectors (Red, White and Yellow) through a scart adaptor, if so it won't auto switch. I had the same prob with a mitsubishi i bought of display and a One for all remote works fine it has a dedicated AV button but needed to try five or six diffrent code before i found one which worked all teh functions

PP3 battery will switch to AV mode on SCART connector
+ to pin 12 of SCART
    - to and GND /Ground pin

There is more than one code option.
