Sky Recommend a Friend Offer Details Required

    Hi,

I have been a Sky subscriber for the last 6 months.
I have yet to receive the Sky Customer Magazine despite 2 x phone calls to Sky on the Subject.

One of my friends is looking at subscribing to Sky.
Normally details for Recommend a friend are contained in the Sky Customer Magazine which I unfortunately don't have.

I've seen adds on Sky News (Ireland) regarding Recommend a Friend but didn't have enough time to take down the details.

I understand that I would receive €75 if my Friend takes out a Sky Subscription & he would get Sky 1/2 price for the first 2 months.

I would appreciate if anyone could supply phone number/offer code details.
I understand that free installation offer is valid until june 30th.

I was wondering if my friend signs up with this offer before the 30th of june & if the installation takes place in july - is he liable to the €45 installation charge or is this waived as the order went in before june 30th ?

My Friend has moved into a house that has a Sky dish on the back wall, the previous residents abandoned the dish & switched to NTL due to problems with neighbours refusing to cut trees which were blocking the signal.

I assume that Sky would therefore just install a new dish on the front of the house as the back of the house option is a non-runner.
Other houses on the road in the same line have dishes on the front of the house.

I understand installing dishes on the chimney is a non runner these days ?

Any infos would be appreciated ?

    Best wishes,

    Fuzion.

    Hi,

Sky Phone: 0818 719 852. Just mention that you would like to recommend a friend, then supply his/her details

If your friends signs up for Sky BEFORE June 30th, s/he will not be charged for installation. Installation is only free when:

    1. You order a standard Sky box.
    2. Your order Sky+ with Multiroom

IF you order Sky+ alone, you will be charged €75

Yes Sky will install a new dish

Installing a dish on a chimney is where grey territory comes in. A standard installation by Sky is (so I was told by Sky) ''on any wall of a house. Non-standard installation is for example, a chimney''. But the main reason why dishes are not put on chimney's is because of the wind is more likely to knock the disk out of aligment on chimney than on a wall of a house.

If I am wrong with any information, I stand corrected !
