Am a beginner body boarder living in Cork City and am looking for info on the following:

    1. Where is good to go body boarding?
    2. How can u find out in advance if the waves are good in say Inchidoney instead of doing a 80km round trip to find no waves and
    3. Whats the best time tide-wise to go b-boarding

    Thanks in advance

Inchydoney, Garrettstown are probably the best two learner spots in Cork. Both spots work on pretty much any tide. Inchydoney has a bit more variety through the tides though.
In general low tide is usually best (in Cork) although there are places that only break on high tide.

For the weather check out this site: http://magicseaweed.com/Cork-Area-Surf-Report/54/detailedLongRange/uk/

There used to be a cam at Inchydoney but it's gone now. Tubes are supposed to be putting it up again, but I doubt it'll happen.
