Insurance for someone under 25

ok.. i have a 1977 mark 2 escort with either a 1.6 x flow or a sierra cossi engine (i have both running now) :D but heres my problem im 19 is there anyway i can get insurance on her?? could i be a named driver under someones policy.. i live in cork btw.. what about carol nash?? everyone else has just said no :( :( :(

Classic car insurance policy? Or standard car insurance policy?

I reckon you'd be limited to standard car insurance policies only. To compound the problem, any modifications would just make the job of getting insurance that bit harder.

You'd need to get the car NCTd for a start.

Whatever about the xflow you'll struggle big time getting a Cosworth transplanted MkII insured anywhere.

Have you done all the bodyshell mods? What kind of gearbox, rear axle and suspension is on it?
