Hi I'm sure this has been covered before but I can't find it anywhere. I have a SKY+ box downstairs and I sent the signal upstairs through a wireless transmitter, this works fine however I want to change my TV froma 15" CRT to an LCD, before splashing out on a new 19" LCD for €245 inc delivery from ebuyer I am wondering if I could use my 19" computer monitor , I was thinking that I will never use the TV Tuner on a TV as I would get my signal from the SKY box so I would need a SCART to VGA/audio adapter for video and sound. Anyone know if this is possible?

I have come across a Video to VGA adaptor on Maplin

    A bit expensive though

And of course, VGA is video only, you'd need other means for audio.

To be honest, I think you'd be better off buying a new TV, instead of buying a converter.

    There is no cheap adaptor.

You can use a cheap TV card on a PC.

Since a Computer monitor is wrong refresh rate, progressive rather than interlaced and wrong resolution, the quality is poorer than a cheap 21" CRT.

Any LCD less than €1500 will be poorer picture than a €150 21" CRT.
