Just reminiscing about old games on the bus home from work, don't know why Lords Of Chaos jumped into my head but I remember it being the first and best RTS I ever played on the Speccy 48k or any platform for that matter. Did anyone else play this classic?

An absolute classic game. I'll always remember the cover for this game and playing it in my mates speccy. I hadn't realized the connection with Julian Gollop and the x-com series though.... he was responsible for some pretty landmark games. Laser squad ftw!

Yeah, it's a pseudo-sequel to their first game, Chaos, which was also great, although I seem to be one of the few to prefer Lords. It was a truly excellent game. I could never get the save working, but I had enormous fun playing the first two levels with(or against, or both) my brother on the old C64. You could happily spend an hour just choosing your spells before the game proper.
