I'm going. Can't wait. They were unreal in November, and Mastodon rock!

Got my ticket as soon as they went on sale, have Wednesday morning off work.. now if only I could figure out where the Marquee is, everything would be sorted.

well holy **** that was unbelievable, i think it even beat the unholy alliance on the whole and i thought that LOG at it were unbeatable

    it just blew.me.away.

i was underwhelmed. it was fun and i'm glad i've seen them now, but i didn't think it was much to write home about (and i'm a big fan of them on record). it wasn't loud enough!

IT WASN'T LOUD ENOUGH?!?!?! haha man i nearly got swept away.. tho i was standing right by the speakers by jeff so i was like owwieee

yeah and I'm usually the person going 'jaysus this is awful loud.. ah me ears' at gigs and this time my fancy musician's earplugs didn't even get a look in. i was standing right in the middle just behind the pit, to try and get a good view, and it just wasn't overwhelmingly loud.

mastodon were a total let down.. i was hoping the songs would work better live than on record but they were still awfully tedious. and the sound was horrifically bad where i was standing (centre towards the back). i did wish i'd brought a comedy fake harpoon with me for 'blood and thunder' though. not that i'd have gotten it past security

Yeah, I thought the sound was brutal. In the middle, center.

What was with Tom saying something like "You get many good acts down here?" "YEAH!" "Well maybe you'd get more if you quit throwing **** on stage"? Dunno, maybe I heard that wrong?

Yeah, I heard him say somethin' about gettin' good acts down here, but dunno if he said about throwin' sh1t.
Anywhoo, I thought it was fantastic and it's a decent venue and you could bring your beer into the gig :D

the amount of lyrics tom missed was shocking, intentional or not, he's not neil diamond. the gig itself was very avarage.

ya he said that alright, i felt so bad, i wasn't throwing anything but i felt bad for our nation, hopefully they just thought it was a cork thing

tossers throwing bottles or glasses at bands are unreal, even if you don't like what the band are producing it's still completely out of order, all it means is that they go away, never play Cork again and tell loads of other bands to do the same.......pity
