PS3 games from the us on irish PS3

I have bought a US game from an ebay seller the game plays perfect on my PS3 BUT the whole thing is in black and white?? I have spoken to the PS3 online tech support...no great help they say the publishers may have something to do with it, the publishers being sony i am doubting it a bit, any one have any ideas?? any one else get a us game does it play ok? btw the game is MLB07 the show for ps3, thanks in advance!:D

What connection have you from the PS3 to TV? Had a similar issue with the PS2 and DVD's. something to do with NTSC i'd say.

the connection is through SCART just a normal TV, the PS3 games are billed as region free so I dont think the PAL/NTSC issue could be it, they dont have those labels on the games anymore. could just be the TV???

never seen anyone as exited that there game aint working in my life...never imported a game from us so i couldnt really help there..

Check to see if you can change the settings on either the game to pal or the tv to NSTC

i decided to take 2 minutes to plug it into a different TV works perfectly it was just my sucky old sanyo, i must get around to winning the lotto so I can get a HD one eh? i dunno if i was excited lol frantic maybe

You'll be well impressed with it on a HDTV, the change is quite noticeable. Just get the component or HDMI cables.
