Villain is pretty good playing 22/14
I have only seen a hand once with villain

I complete in sb with 55 villain limped from mp button limped
flop all diamonds xx5 I check he checks button checks
turn non diamond 7 I bet half pot he calls button folds
river non diamond x I bet just under half pot and he min raises me I call he turns 777 for the win

we have tangled 3-4 times where one of us has reraised from the blinds
Against other players he has seemed very solid

I get AA both red in MP he is on CO I make it 8 to play he calls and Button calls
Pot 27

flop comes all clubs J74 I check and it is checked around turn a red J I bet 18 and he makes it 68 to play Button folds


What do we think

It is hard to see how you are ahead here. If he has the lone Ac with no backup he should have bet the flop. It was a terrible flop and a worse turn card. I fold.

I would be more inclined to bet the flop in hand 2 than to check and bet the turn. I fold anyway now either way. He could be fcuking with you of course as you didn't seem to like the clubs and would probably have bet a hand like AJ. He has also made that play with a player to act behind him so I give him a little more credit. It has only cost you 13bbs so far - i'd be prepared to let it go

I think I might have found a call if this was the river

I cant help but think this is a great spot for him to bluff me with air or to think something like QQ or TT is ahead

Is the turn bet that awful ?
in hindsight it sets me up to be bluffed a lot but I feel a lot of hands I beat might call me down

IMO its unlikely a very solid villan is calling a 2/3 pot bet on the turn with most of those holdings.
