Where to buy flat aluminium bar?

    Hi,

    I'm looking for some flat aluminium bar, about 40mm wide x 5-6mm thick, about 2 metres. I have got something similar from B&Q before, but the thickets that they do is about 2mm.

    Any ideas?

    Where are you?

    The place I work could sell you a piece cut to size. Its in the Dundalk area.

    If not a general engineering workshop would be able to point you in the right direction if they don't have it in stock

    I'm in Dublin. What sort of cost would you be talking about?

    No idea unfortunatly. I'm finished work for the day and I work at the grunt end of things so don't even have a quideline price in my head.

    If you like you could pm me for contact details. But I'd imagine you could find somewhere closer to Dublin than ourselves.

    I have been looking around, and it seems that there is really only one supplier of this type of thing in Dublin, and they have a minimum order of €100, which equates to 20 metres of what I'm looking for. Really, all I'm looking for is 2 x 1 metre lengths. I don't suppose you could post that???

    I know its a while back but I'm looking for similar and was wondering where that place is in Dublin that has it? Cheers in advance
