A storm system pushed down from the North Sea last night and is dishing as anticipated huge quantities of rain across the already soaking English terrain.

Luckily this torrential rain is unlikely to have much affect over here but high winds are likely through the day perhaps gusting to 50mph along the east coast.

Theres the outside chance that a few storms may spark off along the east coast during the afternoon as the system moves close.

Meanwhile the horrible summer continues, with the foreseeable future looking wet and unsettled.

A terrible situation is currently underway in Hull in which a man has been stuck in a drain for 2 hours and the water level is now so high that he has to keep his head horizontal so his mouth stays above the water:(

That man has died:( Apparently the force of the rising water was too much for emergency personnel and the water was also muddy so they couldn't free his foot.

Parts of Sheffield are bing hit fairly bad, just watching the drama unfold on Sky News. People stuck in offices......collapsing buildings, air rescues :eek: (Sky have been known to dramatise), still sounds bad though.
