    Rhodes: 44C??
Well the BBC report mentioned this but highest temp according to wunderground.com for RHODES was just 34C yesterday.
I travel all over the world. I constantly log on in real time and use wunderground.com and find them believable.

That was discussded on TWO, here is what was said:
"Rhodes Airport in the north of the Island is always much cooler than the rest of the Island due to its exposure to the prevailing Northerly breeze.

I imagine that 45c figure was recorded near Lindos which is a local hot spot on the Islands east coast.

I was in Lindos last year and the difference in temperature between Lindos and Rhodes Town was very noticable.

You can complain and moan about the weather we get here in Ireland, but it definitely has to be one of the better climates in the world.... no real extremes at all. We should consider ourselves lucky.
