    on BBC2 teletext 698 and www.bbc.co.uk/reception/news/index.shtml
    there is this:

Why am I getting ghosting on BBC TV channels in Northern Ireland?

We have received a number of enquiries reporting problems with ghosting on BBC channels in the BT 10 area covered by the Divis transmitter. We have investigated and discovered the cause of the ghosting. The third party concerned are aware of the problem which they hope to have resolved swiftly.

So can anyone shed any more light on this, is it due to reflections from a new tall building?

No idea (could even be just a builders crane*) but if they are having ghosting problems then surely they wont be able to read teletext

    * Some very big cranes being used at the moment near the Roadworks on the westlink although a bit closer to the city centre than that

Depends on the signal delay & strength as to if Teletext is affected. Mostly does not affect DTT and can even improve signal!

Just after "Doctors" about 2 weeks ago I heard them apologising to viewers in Belfast on satellite about picture problems being caused by the weather .

As it turns out that was the day of the flooding in Belfast.
