I have only been playing myself for about 5 weeks, if its as long as that. I have been playing SnG on stars recently and winning first place 95% of the time.

Only prob I have with playmoney on stars is the LACK of real poker playing. Too many limpers, and raising with absolutely NO hands whatsoever.
Im not putting much into the account to get started, just enough to get to grips with it.

My biggest worry is that I play different because I KNOW its for real this time and not the play situation.

I was going to stick with the real money tables at stars for the time being..

Anyone else feel like this when they played for real?
I hope I can use the same positive attitude, as I go in knowing I will get at least first or second place,,, when playing for real.

First of all dont aim to win near as much as 95% of the time. It really is just an unsustainable win rate no matter what level of SNG you are playing.
What I would reccommend, seeing as you dont seem overly comfortable with the concept of playing with reall money, is to sign up to sites that give you free money when you sign up, thus you dont need to deposit anything. A quick google search will give you the results of some sites which do this.

Also I think you will find that until you get to higher stake sngs you will find that this is the case for a lot of players, but to be honest it is a good thing, hen you get a good hand punish the limpers, raise the beejaysus out of them, obviously sometimes you will get unlucky and this does happen but thinking over the long term its great for you if most of the players at your table are brutal....

anyway hope that helped and good luck.

I did start out on cash games at stars, but that frustrated me to no end, then a friend suggested playing SnGs and I found it much better.
And your right, about scaring the beejaysus out the limpers, seen that on play money tables too! its funny lol.

And thanks for your input, I will google the sites, but I have organised money to be transfered to stars.

It was just that EVERYONE played every hand, it was just crazy. I was trying to learn how to play and found that I was learning nothing.

People took less risks at the SnG tables and people actually found there way to the fold button!
