DVD Recorder Problem

    Hi

    Just got a Wharfedale DVDRHD400 in Argos for €170 - seemed like a good price, however I could not get a picture for the tv signal - it would play a dvd all right but would not display the tv signal - I am putting it through a sky box.

    I think i know what is wrong now but I stupidly changed the dvd setup to progreesive tv display and now the display is gone so I cannot get the setup back up to make the change that I need to to get the tv signal working (duh).

    The manual says 'clear, clear, 6' should reverse what I have done but nothing happens when I do this.

    Does anyone know a way of getting my display back or a way of resetting the thing to its factory settings - otherwise it about as useful as a bra on a fish.

    I have a Sony HX750 DVD recorder. I changed over from NTL to Sky the other day and I can't get my recorder to work properly. Any help please?

    hi could you please help ive done the same and setup to proggresive mode lost pic just got blue screen and sound dont know what to do next can you help thank you jayne :rolleyes:

    How did you fix this? I think my Dads Samsung DVD recorder is having the same issue. He recently had a sky box put in and now can't get any picture from the DVD, just sound. The LCD displays PSO (Progressive scan?) but I can't see the DVD menu (as there's no picture) to change this.
    EDIT: Man, the OP's message is last year . Anyone with any advice would be appreciated.
    EDIT: Never mind, there was a PSO button under a flap on the front of the DVD player. Turning it off solved the problem. :)
