    Brief history:
Jan : I email NTL saying I would get rid of them at next renewal due to bad service.
Apr : They bill us to renew.
Apr : Wife gets worried about Big Brother and rings to pay by credit card, NTL operator says bill is paid! Wife protests that it hasnt been by us and wants to pay coz she smells a temporary cockup.
May : NTL sends goon to our door to say we havent paid and he's cutting us off !!!
Now June 23rd : We still have no TV although bizarrely Ch4 is coming through from somewhere and although poor quality, its very watchable and in colour. We live in a semi d and NTLs wire passes over our fascia board, also the neighbours have a dish???
NTL to hell anyway they arent getting any more of my cash.

I am willing and able to install a dish and wiring. I'd like a tv in the kitchen, one in the sitting room and another in the bedroom, capable of being tuned to different shows. Need Irish channels. Ament mad about soccer but it'd be good for when pals are over, like the golf, have kids who like nick and that. Channel 4 and TV3 is a must for herself.
Anybody have any suggestions on options, am a lorry driver not to well informed on the latest. Am open to all and any suggestions.

    Cheers

Do you want all subscription channels in all rooms? EG, Sky Sports in the bedroom as well as sitting room?

    You have a few options.

Sky Multiroom - Sky box in each room, all with identical channels. You need phone points in each room though.

You could have a Sky box in the main TV room, and then a feed from there to the bedroom, and maybe an FTA box in the kitchen. Disadvantage of one Sky box feeding two or more rooms, is that only one channel can be viewed at a time. You could get an aerial put up for the 4 irish channels which could be viewed independantly of Sky.

Think I'll just go for basic package in all 3 rooms now, would I need three different boxes for that?

    Yes.

Plus it's an additional €15 per extra card, so it would be your sstandard subscription + €30
