VOIP setup for small business...

    Hi All,

In the process of setting up a company with a few work colleagues, and would like a recommendation on a Voip system. Most of our customers / clients will be in the UK, Germany, France...

Initially there would be approximately 5 employees in the company, we have an office set up where we would typically work from 3 days / week, the rest of the week we would work from home. We are looking for some sort of system where we could take our hand-sets home and plug them into our DSL lines, then send / receive calls as if we were at the office...

I know there are some commercial systems out there, but money is a little tight for these at the moment... I was looking at blue face, but have no idea of the hardware required, do you need a SIP phone? i see komplette have ones for €70, are these any good?

Voice mail would be a nice feature, also call divert to other land lines / mobiles for when traveling.

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated...

    Hi DublinDilbert,

Regarding the hardware, the good point with SIP phones is that you can use the same one at home or at the office. They just need to be connected with a decent internet connection to work. So you don't need 2 separate accounts or 2 pieces of hardware.

You can use Blueface with a SIP phone. No worries. I think they have deals if you get one with them. With them you have access to a bunch of options: voicemail, call divert ...

I've just checked their website and they have a new business package (Business Bundle) that may be of your interest: http://www.blueface.ie/business/
