    Hi all,

I want to buy my 9 yr old a good ds lite game. He already has the dog game and legoland starwars.

    Many thanks for this.

Tetris DS is enjoyable, and Mario Kart DS is very good.

New Super Mario Bros. Has a full standard mario game and then loads of mini games.

I second that,a very simple yet very enjoyable game.

I've played a couple of hundred ds games now and that's still up there among my favorites. The poker mini game is what the ds was made for :D

Don't get Theme Park for a 9 year old. Even leaving the age out of it it's average at best. Like the others have said New Super Mario Bros or Mario Kart would probably best suit.

Yeah, i wouldn't recommend Tetris or Theme park for a 9 y/o. I know my nephew gives up if a game becomes too frustrating.

New Super Mario bros is best for a young kid, plenty of choices/alternatives if he gets stuck anywhere, which he shouldnt for too long. Probably more enjoyable in 1 player mode than Mario Kart DS too.

Also, if ordering online is an option, cant see why he wouldnt enjoy the new pokemon games (diamond and pearl). Stay well away from Pokemon Trozei! or Pokemon Dash tho.
