Can anyone recommend someone for once-off travel insurance? I am going to China for one month. I don't have any private health care in Ireland.

AA do very good travel insurance...having researched a lot last year theirs is def the best when it comes to curtailment etc. The annual policiy works out just as cheap really as once off and you can use it again next year but go a bit earlier. They are cheaper online than over phone. Check out www.aaireland.ie
