    3 Player’s Allin Preflop.

Dealer lays out the board with 4 hearts on it, no full house possible. Dealer declares “right guys, on their backs”

Players A and B are sitting beside each other, and accidentally throw their hands down at the same time in the same spot, showing the following cards: Ah , Ac, Qd, Js.

Dealer asks who’s cards are whose, and both players claim they were holding the Ace of hearts. They can agree who held the Q and J.

Player C then turns over Kh 8h for the 2nd nuts.

You are tournament director and are called for a ruling. Who gets the pot and are Player A & B’s hands dead?

Would you’re ruling change if , JUST before they threw their hands together and mixed them on the felt, Player A announced “I have the nuts!” , but there was no other evidence he actually held the Ah , other than the fact that this person has a previously good standing with the club and appears to always tell the truth. Meanwhile Player B is causing a big scene calling Player A a lying cheating *&$% and is threatening to ring Adrian Kennedy.

For this Player A is automatically awarded the pot..

This is a weird one. Was neither the dealer nor the other players able to say which held the Ah?

Would the cards not be on their backs preflop?

And the above alone makes Player B void....Adrian Kennedy FFS

    Wow.

There is a rule used in most card rooms which states that if a hand is thrown on top of or under another it is declared dead whether the cards are face up or face down. In which case you would award the pot to the guy with the Kh.

The problem is one guy (maybe seat 1) might have just turned his cards over and another guy maybe seat 3 or 4 could have thrown his cards out on top of seat 1's hand. So if the Ah was in seat 1 then it's a pretty cruel punishment to have his hand killed.

In that situation the only alternative that I can see is to split the pot between the two but I'd prefer to find a solution where the pot is awarded to one player, so if both players just were inconsiderate enough to through their hands way out there then both hands are dead. "In future learn to hold onto your cards until the pot is awarded to you. Thank you, next, hand, carry on, good luck......"

    Who is Adrian Kennedy?

Since it is a house game and would let the 2 lads have a scrap and whoever won the fight would be given the pot and believe he had the Ah
Following this I would ensure that all other poker players at the table would go out and break a few more bones in the lying cheating scumbag who was telling porkies.
Now you'd only be right 50% of the time, but that would be enough.

    lol... harsh but fair.

Unless there was video footage to review, I'd go with the rule that both hands are dead as they touched and mingled and there is no way to now discern who owns which cards. award the pot to the K high flush.

I dont think I'd change my ruling if one player said "i've the nuts" before showing. Ive seen plenty of people misread their hand (myself included)

From the story it fairly obvious that player A is the rightful winner (why would he announce he had the nuts if he didn't not knowing the other guy did, B coulda thrown down K for example) and that Player B is a skanger (Adrian Kennedy ffs!) chancing his arm.

Can they both lose the pot for breaking the rules?

Also, OP - what ACTUALLY was the outcome?
