Carers Allowance? Work and study options?

Our common G.P. today agreed to support any application I might potentially make for a Carers allowance in loook after my incapitated mother . It's apparently possible to work 15 hours a week and maybe at some point return to education with allowances? Has anyone here experience of being a carer? want to research it…
