With the ground becoming soft it is possible that Finsceal, Darjina & Archswing will be stuggling.

Mi Emma may start favourite but two other horses catch my attention.

Indian Ink 16/1 - like a bit of give, was hampered in 1000 guineas yet stll came 5th. Has had 3 group 1 successes on soft ground.

Missvinski - came a very close second to Darjina in Prix De La Grotte in France and is another who likes a bit of give.

    Mi Emma 4/1 - Win
    Indian Ink 16/1 - EW
Missvinski 25/1 - Place (place only on PP at 13/2)
    +
    €1 combination tricast

Where did you see that the ground has become soft, the official going still states the straight course as being good to firm?

7mm of rain fell overnight - ground was described as "good" at 9am.

Further heavy rain is forecast for the afternoon and ground will probably move to "good to soft" thus favouring some better priced horses and affecting the good / firm ground fillies.

In any case, it will be a cracker of a race - best filly line-up of the year imo.

Naw - I primarily stick to the big races cos you're certain that all horses and jockeys will be trying 100% and its worth a couple of hours study!

best way to check form / money is click on
www.oddschecker.com for watching money moves and then click on each horse to get through to form & sires & history etc on sportinglife site.

Looking at the race missvinski went very close to getting 3rd - she was hampered as she made her break.

Good work with indian ink i hope you got the bigger prices. Would you reckon fallon will win the derby at the weekend on eagle mountain. What do you make of the english derby form, Lucarno didnt do it much favours at te weekend.

Got 20's with PP - was rather chuffed when it won. Wife confiscated a certain amount though!! How one hair do can cost the same as two years of barber cuts just amazes me! :(

Hard to see past Eagle Mountain if the ground continues to dry out, but until the overnights I wouldn't make a prediction. Not much rain due til Saturday.

www.turform.ie are eerily accurate when it comes to the Curragh (they're based in kldare town!) and well worth the €5 investment. - Get it from about 6pm the previous evening and spend a couple of hours reading it. The winners nearly always comes from the top 3 / 4 rated horses.
