Just thought I would let you know I got a 19" widescreen monitor in Argos for €190 with 1440x900 res and 5ms refresh by Acer. Works very well with the laptop and CS3 with the main screen maximised and the tools and layers on the smaller screen. You can probably get cheaper on the net but for walking in off the street its not too bad.

I have the same one and calibrated it with my spyder. Very happy with it. I'm selling mine later as I have a new monitor on delivery to me today.

Anyone have the Dell 24" and is there anything similar out there not quite as expensive?

I tried a 26" LCD tv which was HD ready and the res was 1380x900 I think. Picture was cracking on but was too big for purpose, cost €500

Just got delivery of one today. Will calibrate it when I get home. Hope it's as good as they say.

I have two on my desk in work (one for mac and one for pc) and one on my desk at home (have my mac and my pc sharing it via a switchbox). Have them around a year. Anything less now looks tiny and they don't look so big anymore !

It's set up and calibrated and I have to say very impressive. Photoshop is a joy to use especially in portrait mode.
