Flopped Set...(low content)

    Hey,
Just looking for some advice on how I played this hand from a tournament a few days ago....not sure of the exact stack sizes.
I had about 60k in chips and villian had about 130k.
    Blinds were 3k and 6k.

Folded around to villian on the button who raised to 16k, I called from the small blind with 66. Is this ok?

Flop comes A 6 10 rainbow, I check he checks.
This is the part i'm wondering about, at the time I was thinking he'd an Ace and raise with AK or something like that, should I have just led out here?

    Turn is a blank ( 2 or 5 can't remember).
I bet 15k and he calls.

    River is a J.
    I check he bets 20k.
Does me checking show too much weakness like I was trying to steal on the turn and should I still call here?

As you played, I shove the river.

    I would push all-in here.

Checking seems fine here. A lot of people like to lead out with a set and it's probably a better play since if he has an ace he will put you all-in but checking will often induce a bet from hands that might not call, like KQ or 1010 so I don't think there's anything too wrong with it.

You probably bet too little on the turn. Going all-in might be a better play.

I don't like your check, I would have pushed. Now that he has bet, I would instantly push all my chips in. If he has a higher set or KQ you're just unlucky but you won't get a better chance to double up...

Raise or fold preflop, Push the flop, Push the turn, Push the river.

Calling 25% of your stack out of position with a marginal pair like 66 is questionable. I'll not elaborate too much on this as it could be a thread by itself. However once the flop comes you have trips and if this guy has AK it is very unlikekly he is getting away from it. Shove them all in or put some kind of bet to build the pot.
I dont understand your last question about checking showing weakness.
You have a really strong hand. The check on the river does look weak after the previous 2 rounds bettings, so this is good !! SHOVE THEM IN !!! If you're beat you're beat

Thanks for all the replies, I called anyway and he had KQ.
My thinking on the turn was that he had nothing so I didn't want to bet too much and hope he'd call! Maybe I was giving him too much value to call?

I see how it doesn't apply here cause i'm shortstacked, I was thinking along the lines if I bet on the river and still had chips behind and he came over the top then I could maybe put him on the straight.

Whereas when I check it looks like i don't have much so if he pushes I think he is just trying to steal the pot so I would have to call anyway....or maybe my thinking is way off!!

if I played the hand like you, which I wouldn't, I would check the turn.
