noob question

    Hi Guys,

Please forgive the obvious question to come. I recently bought an JG MP5-A4 and a JG G36C a couple of months later from Keith at rsov.com. . Addictive stuff, buying AEG's !! I bought them originally because I love the aesthetic of guns. Living in Cork I have no chance to skirmish and such. However, after getting the AEG's I find now I want to fire off a few shots !! So my noob question is where in the Republic, if anywhere, can I get bb's to suit my AEG's. Far as I can tell they take the same type. 0.2g's I believe. The only place I could find was vipershop in N.I. Anywhere else ? Am I right in the type of bb i need ?

Sorry if the answer is somewhere in the stickys. I didn't have a chance to go through them all as my time on the pc is limited at the moment. Greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance.

    Heckler

Vipershop and Ballymount field sports are the only places in Ireland.
Oh and of course Paul up at HRTA stocks some.

    Thanks o1s1n,

Just saw from one of the stickys that vipershop are just up and running. Are they good to go ? Just a bit wary of submitting credit card details willynilly. Am i right in thinking its the 0.2g bb's i need ? Btw, delighted with the service and quality from rsov.com. (apart from getting stung by customs the second time round . Nothing to do with rsov I know) Only slight moan would be the plastic mag with the JG G36C. I'm sure as I get more into it i'll be able to replace it with a metal one. Anyway thanks for the quick reply.

Vipershop and most online retailers use Paypal now. So you won't have to submit any credit card details to anyone.
I'm currently trying to sort out two bottles of abbey gas from them. They seem to be having trouble with their whole system. So I'm not too sure what the story is with them for the moment.

Yes, it's .20g bbs you need. Could try anything up to .25g too if you want to go for accuracy. Range takes a bit of a fall though. .23g are a nice compromise between the two.

Rsov are absolutely great. That Keith is a gent. I've never come across such an honest online retailer.

As for the magazine, your best bet is just to replace it with a either a tokyo Marui or a Classic Army one. They both make full metal mags. They'll feed bbs much better than that JG one too.

Thanks again. I have a paypal account so i'm sorted that way. Reckon I'll leave it a couple of weeks and order then. Thanks for your help. True what you say about Keith. I'm afraid to go on his website again for fear i'll spend more than i can afford. I'd really like a Glock 19 or something.......:-)

    Regards,

www.fire-support.co.uk will give you a discount if you order a box of bb's from them (@ £5 per bag). But you are always gonna suffer on P&P because bags of BB's are bulky and fairly heavy.

I know they are not in Ireland, but it's a good price and I don't think P&P costs are much higher.

Oh, and there are no noob questions, only noob answers. :D

Just got a quote back from vipershop. To post two bottles of gas and three bags of 1000bbs costs £6.50. Not too shabby actually!

£6.50 in total? or is that just shipping?

all your questions seemed to have been answered already, but as far as i know, the only mags available for the g36 are plastic, same as the real deal...

If it were the total cost I'd be ordering a hell of a lot more than two bottles! ;)

from the sounds of it it's one of those gadget-shop type places, if your buying bb's from somewhere like that (i.e. not an actual airsoft retailer) check the quality of them first, make sure there are no seem lines and the bb's look nice and polished, if they are cheap ones they will only damage your aeg.

Yep, as Kdouglas said, they're probably crap. Quickest way is to check the colour. If they're yellow, blue or any other bright colour don't even think about.(Apart from Whalter .23g blues..but I doubt you're going to be getting them in a shop in Cork)

It they're white, just make sure you check for seems.

There's a contact button. Just send them an email with what you want and they should get back to you. They seem to be a bit slow at the moment though. I ordered mine a week ago and I still haven't received a proper invoice enabling me to pay.

    The guy who runs/owns rsov.com

Thanks for the replys guys. Wouldn't really trust the mad shop in Cork. I'll have a look but their mostly into cheap, gimmicky stuff. As for anyone else around Cork interested in Airsoft i know of nobody. People looked at me like I had two heads when I told them I had bought AEG's !!

Two heads would be an advantage in Airsoft...
