    Firstly, do movie(horror) conventions ever take place in Ireland(Dublin)?

    and two, I am interested om acting, but do not know where to start, any ideas?

    Firstly i dont know the answer to any of these.....But youve given me a laugh with the words in brackets....why didnt you just ask...Do Horror movie conventions ever take place in Dublin? :D

    There was talk about a festival in the horror forum last october, I'm not sure if it is annual, so I don't know if it is on again this year.

    Well I don't have much of a clue in that department, but a site I've seen crop up on boards before is Extras.ie:

    I was at the horrorthon last year and it was good fun.

    Most of the new films shown are absolutely terrible... but it was great to see some of the classics up on the big screen like Poltergeist, Demons and Night of the Living Dead.
